100% natural Boulder Opal, 36 carats. Opals are expensive and difficult to mine. This opal is pictured in my book, 'Opalmaker book, Gallery of Opals, Vol 1 Before and After' (ISBN 979-8-218-50773-2).
When purchasing an opal, you are paying for millions of years of natural processes, mining labor and supplies, transportation, buyer/seller time, cutting, polishing, storage and infrastructure, and more.
