Early Antique Limoges Hand-Painted Turquoise Blue Oyster Plate. Made between 1855 and 1891, before they marked with the country of manufacture.
Marked with impressed numbers of 765 and handwritten numbers under the glaze of 53, so we believe this plate was made in 1853.
It has six wells for oysters and a center well in blue for lemon or vinegar. In excellent condition for its great age, with no chips or cracks! It does have some wear to the high points from stacking, which is normal for a plate this old. It measures almost 9 inches in diameter. Retail $365
