Vintage nautical gyrocompass by Marine Compass Co., dating back to the 1950s. Copper body with mounting flange and large solid dome viewing glass. Features two perpendicular stainless steel axes inside the housing.
M. C. CO. was established in Hanover, Massachusetts, in 1910, acquiring E. S. Ritchie & Son in 1951.
Dimensions: bottom diameter 7.5", top diameter 6.5", glass dome diameter 4", height 4.75".
Condition: Untested, sold as-is. SKU 0755. Ideal for collectors, nautical decor, or restoration projects.
