To lock in place, simply release the lift &amp; let the spring loaded latch mechanism lock on the strike automatically. The sash lock is designed in the late 19th century style of hardware, but will fit in with any time period up to the current modern styles. Available in non-lacquered bronze (the un-lacquered bronze will patina over time), lacquered bronze, oil rubbed bronze, brushed nickel, antique brass, &amp; polished nickel finishes.<br>
