Vintage mid-century Chinese rug, measuring approximately 4'8" x 6'8". Very heavy and tightly hand-knotted.
Features a striking cinnabar/vermilion background with contrasting blue borders. Other colors include light blue, light green, pink, white, and flesh tones. The design evokes an ethereal nature, conveying calm and peace.
This is a handmade rug, not a factory-made piece. Estimated to be 50 to 75 years old and will last for many more years. Wool knots with cotton warp and weft (as typical with Chinese rugs).
