Rare Takashimaya 1993 shopping bag designed by Susan Slover for the NYC Fifth Ave store debut. A museum-worthy collectible featured in the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
This bag is from the May 1993 debut opening and is extremely rare. Features four tassels resembling black hair.
Material: Custom beater-dyed light beige matte finished paper with longer fibers for durability. Hand-strung handles and hand-tied/combed tassels. Dimensions: 18 3/16 x 11 x 1/2 in.; top flares to 16 1/16 in.; width flares to 5 1/2 in. A unique museum quality collectible. Untested, as-is.
