VICTORIAN Large Double Photo Mourning Brooch ~ 1860-1870 Photo Sentiment Brooch

Exceptional, VICTORIAN PERIOD, 1850-1870, Gold Plate, Glass, Two Photo, Mourning, or Sentiment Brooch.<br>This fabulous, gold-plated, Memento Mori piece measures 2" x 1 5/8" x 3/8" deep with a secure T-Hinge and C-Clasp Closure that helps to date this piece to the Civil War Era.<br>Front of brooch has a clean-shaven male figure with a white collared shirt and darker dress jacket.<br>Reverse shows a bearded male figure with white shirt, black ascot, vest, and darker dress jacket. His cheeks are also slightly red-colored.<br>Both are held in place by a gold-filled bezel frame, with twisted rope, and clear glass covers encased in a wide, gold-filled, Engraved Floral and Swirl border.<br>Exceptionally Fine Condition. No chips, fogging, or scratches on glass.
