Simulated ivory elephant tusk carved in the classic Chinese mode depicting life in a small village. The tusk is mounted on a wooden stand. The detail of the carving is quite exquisite, and features villagers, trees, an aquatic landscape, houses, pagodas, all culminating in the village’s stone wall at the base.
