Vintage Victorian friendship quilt featuring dated celebration ribbons from 1883 & 1884 from North East PA & Buffalo, NY.
Decorated with hand embroidery, painted blocks using velvets, silks, and fancy fabrics. Center is paper pieced with some fabrics worn to the paper. Unique fancy stitches throughout the quilt, along with a variety of creative blocks showing the personality and hobbies of the recipient/owner. Due to the age of this quilt, there are worn & missing fabrics. Measures 66" x 66". A great historical piece to add to your collection. As-Is.
